Charcoal Tongue
24 Hours: My Deterioration
Sounds like some modern commercial solid rock type metal, big wall of sound, maybe a little metalcore, a bit melodic.

Season of Mist
Technical, and brutal progressive melodic death metal, great stuff.

Hail To The Hordes (Single)
Nuclear Blast USA
This track is for the exclusive limited edition vinyl & picture disc for Redord Store Day. This song is from their latest album, but any excuse to play some Kreator!

Epitaph Records
Raw old school crusty rock, a little punk feel.

We debuted a single from this a couple months ago, fast and frenetic brutal tech death metal. On drums is local skinsman/studio guy Erik Schultek and this is a project mostly from Jon Vesano formerly of Nile, so you have a little bit of a Nile feeling going on. Great stuff.

Melodic hard rocking standard metal, kind of accessible, one track is a bit melodic death/metalcore, another is a power ballad type thing…

Band: Putrescence
Album: Voiding Upon the Pulverized
Label: Eclectic productions
Grindy cookie monster death metal.

Band: Rabid Dogs
Album: Italian Mysteries
Label: Eclectic productions
Grooving crusty stoner metal, but a bit of a heavier kind of extreme thrash thing going on too. So harsh vox, grooving riffs, but a faster tempo with some big grooves. Cool stuff.

Horror God – Techne
Lavadome Productions
Horror God is a kind of death metal with a little doomy downtempo thing while still being heavy thing… Techne is a more creepy blackened doomy death metal.

Castles of Sand
Metalism Records
Gothy and folky melodic metal, maybe a little bit prog, as there’s a lot going on, more rock-like. So, proggy goth/doom with a little folk metal.

Dangerous Days
Classic metal going on here, a bit like Iron Maiden, great guitar attack, big powerful clean vox

Snow Wave Records
Mostly black metal, a melodic death thing and doom thing also going on.

Anguis Dei
Ad Portas Serpentium
Svart Records
Symphonic and epic blackened death metal, Cool to hear fast and brutal blackened death with some chruch organ and an epic keyboard/strings sound too.

Invictus Productions
Fast and heavy black metal

The Untamed Wilderness
Kind of a melodic death metal, like Amon Amarth, has that epic viking catchiness and feeling. Great stuff

Record label: Inverse Records
Melodic metal, a bit like heavier power metal, almost like Dragonforce, but overall, it settles in and is some regular power/prog metal. male and female vox.

War Is Coming
El Puerto Records GbR
A good meaty thrashing groove, and settling into some classic metal/hard rock some nice clean powerful vox.

Non Omnis Moriar
Osmose Productions
A bit doomy and atmospheric on the black metal side.

Secrets Of The Magick Grimoire
AFM Records
Folky melodic proggy power metal, catchy and cool, while the folk metal keeps it sounding not too serious. Great strings

Genus Ordinis Dei
Great Olden Dynasty
Eclipse Records
alright, we got something here, picture Randy Blythe barking out words over heavy symphonic death metal. it all works, catchy almost thrashy power metal music, but the extreme vox and heavy orchestral stuff all are pretty cool.

The Modern Age Slavery
Innerstrength Records
This is some blackened death metal, a bit of a deathcore type thing too. Grooves, heavy, brutal, all with a little black metal coldness.

Melodic blackened death metal. Good stuff, full on heavy stuff, with some harsh vox going with some clean harmonies, a nice evil dark feeling too.

Nostalgia – Archive Of Failures – Part I
Nostalgia – Archive Of Failures – Part II
Nostalgia – Archive Of Failures – Part III
Moribund Records
24 November 2017
All pretty lo-fi and long drony black metal songs through 3 releases.

Of Death and Delirium
Invictus Productions
Old school black metal… kind of lo-fi.

Carry on, Carrion
Blackened thrashy metal band from Lebanon. A bit melodic and fun too. They seem to mess around a bit which makes it a bit more fun.

Void Masquerading as Matter
Dark Descent Records
Doomy post black metal, 4 long tracks.

Slow Nerve
Karma Conspiracy Records
Rock, maybe alternative jazzy art rock type stuff. Prog? I dunno. Not metal.

Band: Millennium
Album: Awakening
Label: Not on label
Some classic sounding NWOBHM from the UK. Good catchy melodic grooves

Album: Shadows Of October
Label: Solitude productions
Gothy doomy death mtal.

Beyond Forgiveness
The Great Wall
Self Released
Female fronted symphonic / meloidic death. A bit like Epica, with clean operattic female fox and death metal growl male vox.

Band: Antipope
Album: Denial/Survival
Label: Antipope/TCM Entertainment
I’d have to say this is a progressive melodic death metal thing, clean vox, and harsh vox, melodic music pushing into some death/black-ish metal too.

Funeral Chant
Funeral Chant
Duplicate Records
Kind of a classic doomy death metal, maybe a bit grindy

Demo 1: Fire Whiplash (TAPE)
Hells Headbangers
Raw, lo-fi punky thrash.

Reflections in Darkness
Dying Victims
Dark doomy death metal, but with a good punchy blackened death metal groove

Barshasketh / Outre
Sein Zeit
Blut&Eisen Prod. / Third Eye Temple
Barshasketh is one track of good classic brutal black metal. Outre is more of a blackened death metal.

Band: Morvigor
Album: Tyrant
Label: Not on label
Black metal with a bit of a death metal thing happening too. Good kind of groove going on too.

Band: Unto The Wolves
Album: Year One
Label: Not on label
Hard rock

Farvegir Fyrndar
Season of Mist
Cold and dark black metal, doomy and melodic fast and depressing too, but still pretty decent stuf

To Venomous Depths
Season of Mist
Sort of melodic death, a bit of black metal, some classic metal, definitely in the “extreme” realm due to growly vox.

La Caída De Tonatiuh
Season of Mist
Fast furious extreme death metal, technical, catchy and even a tiny melodic in parts, great brutal stuff.

Frontiers Music s.r.l.
Well, this guy has been around for a while singing for many different bands, I’m not exactly sure what the difference is between this and his band “SOTO” It looks like just different band members I guess, either way, this is a good solid melodic hard rock album. And the more I’ve heard JSS singing lately, the more I’m liking it. Good catchy hard rock going on here

Best of Fear
Frontiers Music s.r.l.
Four new tracks and a best of compilation, you can never go wrong with Primal Fear for classic power metal! The new tracks are solid. Nothing groundbreaking, but good stuff.

Revelation Highway
Frontiers Music s.r.l.
As with most stuff on this label, it’s either a new release from a classic hard rock band (like this one) or something like a classic hard rock sounding type thing. Well, this is both, right? Remember this band? Kind of hit the scene the same time as grunge and just didn’t make it real far… (I remember them from a big push in college radio). well, they have a new album, and it’s good solid classic hard rock.

Frontiers Music s.r.l.
Michael Sweet from Stryper and George Lynch from Dokken/Lynch Mob/Abunchofstuff. Two living legends in their area together! You have some good solid classic hard rock/metal type stuff. Nothing really too heavy, great sounding hard rock with a big voice and great guitars.

Grooving classic metal with a Maiden feeling.

Electric Wizard
Wizard Bloody Wizard
Look up stoner metal in the dictionary, Electric Wizard will be one of the examples. Meaty grooves, clean vox… and they’re just doing what they do!

Dark Future
Proggy technical metalcore type stuff. A little djent, female fronted (various styles – mostly growls) Former members of Animosity/Faceless/Animals as Leaders. Great tech death type stuff!

Iron Maiden
The Book Of Souls: Live Chapter
We have a 5 song sampler of some Maiden from the last tour… it’s mostly newer stuff, and all sounds great as only IM Can do!

Epitaph Records
I was in college when these guys first came around… early 1990s, wasn’t a huge fan back then, now a lot has happened since they stopped making records in 1995. Now they’re back. Same kind of thing, melodic and grungy, It’s not too bad, maybe just not for the Mosh Pit

Cavalera Conspiracy
Napalm Records
Well, this is good stuff, kind of well, like old Sepultura-ish (Arise/Chaos AD era). Heavy, catchy, just about like everything Max does, good stuff.

Galactic Cowboys
Long Way Back To The Moon
Mascot Label Group
This band has been one of my favorites and to see they were making a comeback made me happy, and so does this album, it’s like they made this right along Machine Fish. It’s not quite as heavy as some parts on the first couple albums, but it’s got everything that makes this band great, vocal harmonies, catchy and crunchy riffs. Great stuff.

Man is Myth (Early Demos)
Napalm Records
Well, these are “early demos”, so they’re a bit raw, but it’s some sludgey stoner metal.

Sacrilegious Rite
Summoned From Beyond
Dunkelheit Produktionen
Death metal with a little black metal feel, a bit atmospheric, but with some good grooves

???? (Sleepwalker)
AnnapurnA / Sentient Ruin
Post-metal or black metal kind of noise. Does not sound coherent.

Xtreem Music
Thrashy melodic death, great grooves, catchy riffs.

Catapult The Dead
A Universal Emptiness
Doom Stew
4 songs of big long doomy stuff

Wrathprayer / Force of Darkness
Wrath of Darkness – split LP
Nuclear War Now! Productions
Both of these are similar fast and furious blackened death metal.

Doctrine LP
Nuclear War Now! Productions
Grindy death metal

Iron Griffin
Iron Griffin
Gates of Hell Records
Old school throwback doomy metal. Maybe a little like a simpler Ghost/sabbath type thing. Good grooves and retro sounding.

Susurrus Station
Miss Anthropocene
ÅIÖ Soundings
alrighty then… 68 minutes of all sort of stuff, folk, electronic, prog, file under WTF.

Claiming Supremacy
Scarlet Records
Do you like classic metal/classic thrash? You’ll like this. Catchy, and just good old metal!

New Flesh
Lövely Records
This is the band from one of the ex members of Ghost, more of an electronic techno retro thing… passing it over to the show before the Mosh Pit.

Self Released (Decible Mag – Asher Promo)
Fast and furious black metal. No fucking around, good melodic stuff, brutal, cold, evilness abound!

Death Toll 80K
Step Down
Svart Records
Grindy and fast death metal. quick short tracks.

Lady Beast
Vicious Breed
Cruz Del Sur Music
A good solid grooving classic metal. Not too heavy, not too light, and as the band name suggests, it’s female fronted, but a good melodic clean vox, with some cool range and tones. good stuff.

Tyfon’s Doom
Emperor’s Path
Gates of Hell Records
Melodic classic metal, a little bit of a prog feel, maybe a little noise, pinch of doom, or a kind diamond feel.

Some modern death metal / melodic death. Barked out vox, melodic death type guitar work, cool tech death stuff going on too.

Over the Voids…
Over the Voids
Nordvis Produktion
Old school sounding black metal, cold drony guitars, long songs, a bit doomy and depressing

Defenders of the Riff “2017 Edition”
Argonauta Records
Release Date: November 17th, 2017
File Under: Heavy Rock /Stoner / Southern Metal

Infernal Blast
Wolves Elitism Speech
War Arts Productions
Brutal, raw blackened death metal.

Monolith Cult
Gospel Of Despair
This is some cool melodic doom

BLACK DEATH (Cleveland)
Black Death
Hells Headbangers
Kind of raw classic old doom type stuff, kind a sabbath meets kind diamond type thing

Album: Hagzussa – Riding The Fence
Label: Witches Brew
A bit classic metal, but some thrash, and maybe a pinch of death metal as the vox get a little growly, but mostly melodic classic metal with a gritty edge.

Band: Radiation
Album: The Gift Of Doom
Label: Witches Brew
This is some cool heavy thrash, maybe just touching on some death metal, good grooves.

Band: Serenade
Album: Onirica
Label: Revalve records
Female fronted metal. Mostly power metal, but kind of a grungy crunchy groove, and probably comparable to like a Lacuna Coil.

Emptiness Filling the Void
Self Released
Depressing blackened doom, a bit lo-fi, but more like mastered on a cassette sound than bandwidth limited lo-fi.

Post-metal noise.

A Clash Under The Northern Wind (single)
Label: Non Serviam Records
Grooving black metal. Nice meaty headbanging groove with harsh vox.

Torso Murder
Torso Murder
Self Released
A sort of tech, dark, grooving djent death metal, with some hardcore and prog type stuff too.

Through Endless Tides
Self Released (asher)
released this past May, just to our inbox… technical melodic death metal. Barked out vox, grooving riffs, atmospheric blackened metal stuff too.

Band: Desecrated Grounds
Album: Lord of Insects
Label: Not on label
CLassic death metal, big grooves, a bit of a thrashy heaviness too.

The Light In The Dark
Sleaszy Rider Records (Greece).
Male and Female fronted power/prog metal, decent stuff.

Mask Of Satan
Silent Servants – Chants of Lovecraftian Horror
Self Released
Good ol classic brutal death metal

Scream Of The Butterfly
Burning Wax Productions
Stoner metal, hard rock… Decent stuff.

Band: Luna
Album: Swallow Me Leaden Sky
Label: Solitude productions
Two 20+minute tracks of post metal/funeral doom. meh.

Band: Dreamgrave
Album: “Monuments I. – The Anxious”
Label: Prog Heaven Hungary
Now this is real prog metal, female fronted, crazy all over the place type stuff, virtuoustic playing, changing stuff all over the place, heavy, then jazzy, ambient, symphonic… cool stuff.

Subsound Records
This is seemingly some kind of grooving instrumental stoner metal, a bit heavier than say a Clutch, but solid grooves, catchy tunes that are quick and to the point and no vox!

Old school lo-fi black metal.

Ghastly Sound
The Bottom
Magnetic Eye
This is hard to put a finger on, a bit metalcore, a bit of a proggy metal thing, kind of stoner metal, a little sludgey. Clean and harsh vox. Neat stuff.

Space Vacation
Lost In The Black Divide
Pure Steel Records
I had to make sure this wasn’t something on Frontiers records… haha classic hard rock, big clean vox, catchy guitar riffage, not metal, not plain rock, just something cool inbetween.

Album Reviews  Comments Off on New Stuff This Week… 11/6/17
Nov 062017

A modern hard rock/Pop hard rock type thing.

Wellll, just a single so far, but techy, brutal, and in your face, then a clean vox, slowed down part in the middle, then back to the tech death. Who’s even in this band these days?

“Death Angel”
A single from the new album from a guy from Periphery… it’s not much like Periphery, a bit more laid back and metalcore-ish, maybe a little industrial

Frontiers Music s.r.l.
I saw some online reviews slagging this pretty hard, so I was expecting this to be sort of awful, and actually, it’s not bad. Just some classic hard rock type stuff with Geoff’s unmistakable voice. Catchy riffs

Feel the Heat – RADIO SINGLE
Frontiers Music s.r.l
I couldn’t tell you what this band sounded like back in the day, this is some good gritty old school hard rock.

Phantom Amour
Grooving melodic hard rock, a good dirty guitar, melodic grooves, a bit stoner metal, a bit modern prog rock, a bit classic rock.

American Fall
A sort of rock/pop-ish punk thing. Catchy sing along songs, but probably not mosh pit material

Vandenberg’s Moonkings
This is the 2nd album under Adrian Vandenberg’s new band name, classic metal with a big voice and great guitar work

Roots Expanded Edition

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown
Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown
Kind of a stoner, alternative rock type thing

Amberian Dawn
Darkness Of Eternity
Napalm Records
Female fronted epic-ish power metal. Some heavier kind of dragonforce type stuff with more like proggy power metal going on.

We Came As Romans
Cold Like War
SharpTone Records
A bit of a modern metalcore. Catchy singy stuff with some heavier melodeath stuff too, but then getting into some breakdowns and more emo-type vox and style.

Shadow Of The Sword
Napalm Records
Some classic thrashy stuff with some crazy screams and maybe old school Slayer type stuff. Great stuff.

Black Sabbath
The End, Live In Birmingham
Eagle Rock Entertainment
A single of the last, last show from the band that invented the genre! This is more about nostalgia and celebrating their legacy than how great this show might be, as well, this one song, “Paranoid” has heard better days… still good stuff and great to hear.

Album: The Man In A Glass
Label: Sliptrick records
This is a little bit alternative rock and a little bit prog rock, heavy accent singing english lyrics and probably a little too power ballad-ish for me.

Argonauta Records
A nice big meaty doom sound, it feels like some cool stoner metal with some grooves. It’s cool stuff, but I feel like it’s about ready to kick into another gear, but just stays in the doom gear. decent stuff though.

Beast In Black
Label: Nuclear Blast Records
This is at its roots, just some power metal, but there’s some extra epic, wall of sound type of thing going on. Cool stuff.

Melodic progressive and atmospheric black metal, goes from some ambient piano type stuff, to full on cold evil black metal.

Against All Kings
Fighter Records
This is some like Manowar meets Kreator type metal, thrashy extreme power metal meets some german gritty thrash metal… but they’re from Spain. Good stuff.

Thrash Anthems II
Label: Nuclear Blast Records
speaking of German gritty thrash metal… These guys are back with another set of re-recorded classics from their own catalog. crisp modern production on these tracks… great stuff.

Hornwood Fell
My Body, My Time
Avantgarde Music
I’d have to say this is some classic black metal, decent production, sometimes clean vox or shouted, but not that classic black metal shriek.

A Pale December
The Shrine Of Primal Fire
Avantgarde Music
Melodic and doomy post-black metal… some good grooves and full on black metal too, maybe a little bit of a prog thing going on too.

Well, just judging by the name here, you know you’re in for a treat. We have some pig squeal style vox (and cookie monster too) with some grindy gore death metal. Broootal!

The Besieged Sanctum CD/LP
Blood Harvest
Noisy doomy death metal

Í Hálmstráið Held (Radio Promo)
Season of Mist
Melodic black metal. (just a single)…. classic doomy black metal with shrieky vox, a cold sound, but with some decent production

Flames of Genesis
A Bridge to Further Realms
Minotauro Records
Long songs of ambient background noise and sounds

Asylum 8
Record label: Inverse Records
Melodic death with some industrial keyboard type stuff happening. Clean vox, harsh vox, with a heavy power metal think mixed with a little soilwork and lots of keyboards. Cool stuff!

Desolate Shrine
Deliverance from the Godless Void
Dark Descent Records
I’ll have to those this in the blackened death metal area. It’s got the brutality of death metal, but that cold harsh black metal thing. It’s leaning more black metal vocally, maybe grindy black metal.

Minotauro Records
Thrashy blackened death metal, good heavy stuff, cool grooves and brutal vox, catchy riffs. Good stuff!!

Not much else to say about this, but some classic black metal with decent production (I feel like I have to say it’s decent production because typically “classic black metal” means lo-fi). In this case, it’s got the melodic cold guitars, shrieky vox, blast beats, you know, the classic black metal stuff.

This has a Finnish melodic death feel, a little folk metal feeling, some black metal, and overall a doomy, heavy melodic death.

Lunar Cult Society
Doomy death metal with a little creepy black metal stuff happening

The Erkonauts
“I Shall Forgive”
Indie Recordings
A bit of an industrial thing, stoner metal, a bit of punk, maybe a little hardcore, some motorhead type stuff…

Band: Bergrizen
Album: Der Unsterbliche Geist
Label: Purity Through Fire
Black metal, melodic in parts, creepy shouty/screamy vox.

Rumours of a Coming Dawn
Self Released
Proggy female fronted power metal

Title: Sin dominio del tiempo
Genre: Speed Metal
Morbid Skull Records (El Salvador)
A basic classic thrash/metal type thing, vox are a bit more extreme, kind of a spanish language Goatwhore or Skeletonwitch type thing. Great stuff

Early Cvlts
Argento Records
A bit of a doomy black metal, a bit more grindy sludge sounding (sludge tones, not pace, this is fairly um, quick, not full on speedy blast beat, but more of a heavy doom thing)

Rockshots Records
Power metal, a bit catchy with some proggy chunk happening too

Dark Avenger
The Beloved Bones: Hell
Rockshots Records
Epic power metal, and along with the Metatrone above, there’s a cool heavier proggy chunky element, this one probably moreso

Salems Lott
Mask of Morality (Part 1)
Online Metal Promo
a kind of heavier thrash, fast, in your face, some cool melodic stuff too.. just a 3 song

Tidal Lock
Self Released
2 tracks of Prog Instrumental with a little djent going on, but not too much, just some cool prog metal here.

Crystal Gates
Shadowborn (single)
Self Released
Epic female fronted metal, maybe a bit like an epica, without the growls and not quoite as heavier, but this isn’t quite the typical plain ol fe-metal, thie more “epic” full feel here makes this kinda cool.

Greyhaze Records
Some old school sounding death metal, by the way it sounds, it was probably released in the 90’s and this is a reissue, kind of deathy thrash metal. I’m too lazy to look it up.

New Stuff This Week… 10/30/17

Album Reviews  Comments Off on New Stuff This Week… 10/30/17
Oct 302017

Laute Helden/SPV
This is some industrial metal type stuff, maybe a bit like a Rammstein. cool catchy and a bit thrashy. Cool stuff!

Napalm Records
Word has it that this was going to be heavier… and word is right! The heavier Moonspell that we all know and love. Melodic, a little bit gothy, but catchy and heavy.

Sons Of Apollo
Psychotic Symphony
Inside Out Music
Hard to be objective on this one, as I’m a self proclaimed Mike Portnoy fanboy, and a fan of the heavier stuff… well, here we go… this is the heaver prog metal stuff we’ve been waiting for… and it’s not really full on prog metal, it’s got classic rock, modern metal and all that going on. It does have a little Adrenaline Mob feel in parts. With Derek Sherinian’s keyboards, it does also have a feel like this could have been the Dream Theater album after Falling into Ifinity if he didn’t get kicked out for Jordan Rudess. So yeah, i’m digging it.

The Dusk In Us
Epitaph Records
Just two songs so far… I can’t say I’ve been a huge fan of this band over the years, kind of like Dillinger Escape Plan. It’s heavy, a little groove, metalcore, maybe a little disjointed.

Different Animals
Fearless/Concord Music Group
Melodic metalcore, djenty, technical, clean vox are decent (not all emoish, just good clean vox) and the harsh stuff is sufficiently brutal. Decent stuff.

Metal Blade Records
We actually got this as an indie release at the end of 2015 and they’re now on metal blade releasing the same album to the masses… here’s what I wrote then: Band: Batushka
Starts of with some chanting… but then gets black and brutal real fast. The chanting stays in there with the brutal blackened death to just keep it creepy and evil sounding. pretty cool stuff.

Cannibal Corpse
Red Before Black
Metal Blade Records
This band… I tell you… keeping it brutal, technical, catchy, and relevant. Good stuff once again!

Arrayan Path
Dawn of Aquarius
Pitch Black
Kind of power metal, or maybe just classic metal with a big powerful voice. Decent stuff

Drugs & Death
Unholy Prophecies
Good grooving blackend death metal. Not in your face brutal, just a big solid meaty groove with a very blackened metal sound, while not getting all super tr00 and black metal-ish.

Invictus Productions / The Ajna Offensive
A sort of black metal, dark, but maybe a little doomy and death metal. Vox are not in english and are a bit echoey, giving it a more creepy vibe. Musically, it’s kind of a blackened death with grooves.

Blood Freak
Total Destruction Of The Human Form
Horror Pain Gore Death
Death metal, and more on the grindy gore side of things. brutal, grooving and raw.

The Crowning Quietus
I, Voidhanger Records
This has a classic black metal feel, but really gets its groove on, maybe like a heavier Satyricon.

Nox Maledictvs
Harvest Of Death / Signal Rex
raw and scary black metal. basic beats, scary shrieking with no music in parts, sounds like maybe recorded in a basement.

Doom Decimation
High Roller Records
CLean vox, a bit doomy, a bit goth-ish and a bit AOR/classic metal.

“Et Liber Eris”
Indie Recordings
Kind of a melodic death/prog with some Porcupine Tree-like prog rock type stuff, and then progressing into some growls and melodic death stuff. Kind of cool.

Primal Incinerators of Moral Matrix CD/LP/TAPE
Iron Bonehead
We’re talking about some heavy death metal, maybe a little bit of a wall of sound and blackened feel.

Exilasmos CD/LP/TAPE
Iron Bonehead
Mostly a black metal feel, with some death metal grooves and technicality. / heavy melodic death

Poison Pill
Poison Pill
Big screamy voice classic metal. Good stuff. ( a little thrashy)

Album: Remnants of a Future Past
Label: Heathen Tribes
Kind of atmospheric black metal, a bit electronic-ish and production is a bit raw

Album: Warwolf
Label: Heathen Tribes
Raw blackened thrash.

Album: Death to All
Label: Heathen Tribes
Another raw production release on this label, this is black metal with some more Slayer-like vibes going on. Decent grooves, sufficiently cold and evil.

Album: Come, Holy Death
Label: Heathen Tribes
More sludgey production, for this doomy blackened death doom / post metal thing.

Album: Triptolemus
Label: Heathen Tribes
Finally something with listenable production! Clean, classic melodic black metal.

Death is Proof of Satan’s Power (CD, LP)
Hells Headbangers
Here we go…brutal thrashed up death metal with a little creepy atmospheric black metal feeling. Cool stuff

Entering a Timeless Winter
A Sad Sadness Song
Post-black metal atmospheric noise.

Private Suite
Doomy blackened death metal.

Forever Resonating In Blood
Horror Pain Gore Death
Black metal, maybe a little thrashy, melodic stuff happening too.

Opium Warlords
Svart Records
3 almost 20 minute tracks of droney noise

The Druid King
Pitch Black Records
Melodic power metal with some thrashy heavier stuff going on too.

Still Innocence
Nordvis Produktion
Atmospheric music, not getting into metal, more ambient symphonic/electronic type stuff, maybe “metal” because it gets into noise.

The Enemy of Virtue (2CD, 2LP)
Hells Headbangers
Dirty black metal, quick short songs, fast and cold

Argonauta Records
Doom metal but with some grooves, a bit of a Trouble vibe.

Evil Sound Screamers (CD, LP)
Hells Headbangers
Sludgey death metal with monster grooves and a good halloween theme.

You Should Be
Self Released
Grungy and sludgey stoner death, some grooving stuff, doomy in parts

“Suffocate All Light” (single)
Indie Recordings
Fast blackened death metal, some maybe thrashy picking, but fast and furious catchy tune. (just one track!) Great stuff.

Spreading the Rock N Roll Disease
Self Released (Online Metal Promo)
Classic AOR-ish hard rock

Season of Mist
Fast and grindy thrashy speed metal. A bit hardcore and screamy, yet kind of brutal and heavy in parts.

The Crimson Screen Vol. 1
Classic black metal with some good death metal grooves

Band: Haema
Album: Insurrection
Label: Sliptrick records
The included genre description is oddly specific, so you know that means it’s kinda right on: “Style: Industrial-influenced experimental groove metal” I’d throw in a “nu-metal” element as well.

Band: Ypnos
Album: Beholder
Label: Sliptrick records
Keyboard heavy proggy hard rock/metal. A bit on the rock side, but some heavier stuff will make the prog metal fan happy too.

Band: Eternal Silence
Album: Mastermind Tyranny
Label: Sliptrick records
This is some more epic symphonic power metal with some female vox, a good catchy kind of proggy thing

Album: Vas Hermeticum
Label: Sliptrick records
Oh, here we go, proggy melodic death metal, Heavy typical melodic death, but then you get some stuff with saxophones and strings and keyboards…. overall though, melodic death with good prog stuff going on. Great stuff.

British Bangla Testament
Genre: Thrash Metal
As I typed this, the band name rang a bell and I thought, isn’t that the sign for Sulfuric Acid? (googles it) yup! wow. So yeah, great catchy classic heavy thrash!

Album: Strike Master
Self Released
This is some classic thrash, good catchy, heavy, no messing around

Blinda Dödens Barn
Self Released
This would have to be blackened death metal , as it’s not real tr00 black metal, and not tr00 death metal, but a good half and half, heavy, and fast with some monster blast beats while having a good groove too.
