New stuff this week 2/19/07

Not a whole lot of new stuff this week.  I would have to assume that since it’s technically a holiday (President’s Day) that some of the record labels held back as mailings and some offices are closed today.  Some great death metal though, Aborted and Dying Fetus are my faves for the week!
Aborted
Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture
Century Media
42:41 – 11 Tracks
These Belgians are back! Until I read the bio, I didn’t know they were from Belgium. I should have known, since, well, I’m part Belgian too! This is a melodic brutal fast and furious death metal album. I would have to say they could be lumped right up there with Vader and Behemoth in sure intensity. They’ve got some great melodic, yet still sickeningly heavy breakdowns. Everything is right on here, right down to a guest vocal performance from Jeff Walker (Carcass) You will hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Dying Fetus
War Of Attrition
Relapse
36:50 – 8 Tracks
Well, what can you say, it’s a new release from one of the best of Death Metal these days. Fast, intense, crazy playing. It’s an all out slaughter from beginning to end. If you like speedy quick chugga chugga cookie monster with moshability… then this is for you. Just a wall of thrashin’ death metal coming full force. The production is clean, so you can pick out all of the little nuances through out. Of course you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Vivesect
Six Points of Direction
Obscured
35:01 – 11 Tracks
This is pretty fast/heavy. These guys are from central (flat) Illinois. They have a pretty straightforward thrash sound, with a twinge of the heavier Slipknot. Great riffs, heavy presentation, pretty cool vocals and some intense drumming. This is the kind of stuff you can never get enough of, a wall of heavy thrash coming at you! For being on a smaller label and a first national release, the production is pretty good, it’s got some great low end which will make your subwoofers thump. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

The Showdown
Temptation Come My Way
Mono vs. Stereo
47:55 – 12 Tracks
This is their second album, and it’s just short of being real heavy metal. It’s got some great hooks, melodies, guitar solos, etc. A bit like Load-era Metallica. Since there aren’t many other new releases this week, you’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit this week. If you like it, e-mail or call and say so!

From our package from Greece…. next week and the week after, some new releases from Epitomite Productions out of Illinois.

Need
The Wisdom Machine
Burning Star
53:48 – 10 Tracks
A pretty straight ahead metal album.  Nothing too groundbreaking.  The production is fairly clean, some just plain guitar stuff, some thrashy drumming, average, plain vocals.  It’s something you may hear on the Mosh Pit
Empyrios
…And The Rest Is Silence
Burning Star
44:48 – 12 Tracks
Technical Power Metal from Italy.  First thought, is that the bottom end (bass) almost sounds distorted.  They have a little bit of Dream Theater musical feel.  The singer is a bit more like Fabio from Rhapsody.  The music does get heavier than Dream Theater, at least a little more thrashy in some parts.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit.
I Suffer Inc.
Chronicles of Lost Purity
Burning Star
46:49 – 12 Tracks
Another band from Italy, this is some okay metalcore.  Since it’s new in that part of the world, they have a pretty good take on it.  The production seems a bit on the lower budget side (using a computer).  The playing and aggressiveness sounds great though.  Some cool shreddy guitar solos, and definitely a bigger death and black metal influence than anything else.  This might be worthy of some airplay!

New stuff this week 2/12/07

Well, here’s the new stuff for the week.  Some great stuff, some okay stuff, and some stuff from an Indie label in Greece!  As always tune in and request stuff you want to hear!

Chimaira
Resurrection
Ferret
51:43 – 11 Tracks
They are back! A new label, new attitude and it sounds heavy and great. For a band that I used to just not like at all, I’ve come to like Chimaira. They just sound like they go all out, with a groove and great intensity. Apparently, they didn’t get along with Roadrunner towards the end, as they split with them and found Ferret (also In Flames’ new label). They mention in their bio that they have this newfound freedom and motivation. The first title track just starts off fast and fierce as if they had their own resurrection. It’s good stuff and you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!’

Comeback Kid
Broadcasting…
Victory
33:14 – 11 Tracks
The name of this band wants me to think they are like Fall Out Boy, but they really aren’t. It’s pretty much straight ahead metal-hardcore stuff. Some melodic hooks and whatnot. Nothing really special there. It’s new metal though, so you’ll probably hear it on the Mosh Pit!

Psyopus
Our Puzzling Encounters Considered
Metal Blade
66:03 – 13 Tracks
Their crazy eclectic all over the place, yet complex sound and tech-metal doesn’t fail to please. There aren’t many bands out there like this. The bio says they “may be Steve Vai’s answer to tech-metal” It’s just crazy stuff, produced all nice and clean and crisp. It’s definitely something to check out, so tune in!

Alabama Thunderpussy
Open Fire
Relapse
42:54 – 11 Tracks
It’s that time again, time for another A.T. album. As always, it’s a pretty catchy, riff, shred and rock out fest. If you like BLS, then I’m sure you know of Alabama Thunderpussy. They aren’t doing anything new, but what they do, they do well. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Dustsucker
Jack Knife Rendezvous
Diversity
40:19 – 12 Tracks
Yet another hard rockin’ band just rockin’ out! All pretty much straight ahead hard rock, nothing too special. As a band from Germany, they do have something different than a lot of bands that sound like this. They do have a little bit of a Motorhead sound. You may hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Fu Manchu
We Must Obey
Century Media
36:29 – 11 Tracks
Kings of stoner metal, heavy, meaty riffage. The tunes are catchy and i get the munchies just listening to it. You’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit!

We got a package of stuff from Greece again… six new cds… I’ll put a couple in each week for the next couple of weeks…

Axemaster
Blessing In The Skies
Burning Star
56:44 – 12 Tracks
1980’s metallers, Axemaster have re-released their 1987 album. It’s a straightforward metal sound that seems to stand the test of time. The production is a bit low-budget, so it’s not apparent that there’s any heavy duty remastering here. But it’s nice to hear a blast from the past with a “newish” release.

Winterhorde
Nebula
Burning Star
52:20 – 10 Tracks
Melodic, symphonic black metal from Israel.  At first thought, this has the production of the old school Scandinavian black metal of 10 years ago.  It’s fast, furious, intense and technical.  Some great shredding, the songs are put together well and it’s a little bit different than a lot of the music of this genre.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Art of Simplicity
Caught In This Iless Storm
Burning Star
57:57 – 9 Tracks
This is a prog-metal band from Greece.  They have a bit of a Pain of Salvation sound, but throw in a violin and some not so great production.  It sounds a bit over processed, or that they did it on their own computer.  It isn’t breaking any new ground, but the violin does make it a little different than some stuff in the prog-metal genre.  You may hear this a bit on the Mosh Pit.

New stuff this week 2/5/07

Handshake Murders
Usurper
Goodfellow Records
32:20 – 11 Tracks
These guys seem to have the newer wave of metalcore. So far this year, I’ve heard a few bands with this sound. It’s a bit metalcore, a bit Meshuggah clone and all fast and heavy. Dare I call them Meshuggahcore? Well, that’s what I’m going to call it from now on. What’s cool is that the album cover looks like our friend “Linderman” with a bunch of screws coming out of his mouth. Pretty neat. The playing on this album is heavy, fast, complex and as I said above, “Meshuggahcore.” You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Impious
Holy Murder Masquerade
Metal Blade
37:35 – 11 Tracks
It seems like Metal Blade has been hanging out in Europe a bit more lately. Although these guys had their last album on Metal Blade in 2004, this seems to be their new trend. If you are a fan of the more melodic scandanavian death metal such as The Haunted or The Crown, then this is for you! Some great, well layered songs with some great chugga chugga metal moments along with some great hooks and melodies. The vocals are some standard deathy growls, not quite cookie monster though. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

My Bitter End
The Renovation
Uprising Records
42:16 – 11 Tracks
Now this is an interesting CD. Mostly a brutal metalcore sound for music, complete with some melodic breakdowns. Add to it some great chugga chugga death metal breakdowns. The neat part of this is the vocals, going from some unintelligible screaming to some cookie monster growls and having that go over the normal emo-chorus parts of the songs. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Pain Of Salvation
Scarsick (Single)
Inside Out Music
12:10 – 2 Tracks
In the past, we never really got music from PoS sent to us, I’ve been a small fan of them for a while, as their music is prog-metal-ish and a bit eclectic in that genre. All sorts of different things going on in this track, typical for PoS. A lot of vocal layers, as well as many layers of different music. It’s pretty cool and since it’s just a single, you’ll probably hear it on the ‘Pit.

Rwake
Voices of Omens
Relapse Records
59:06 – 9 Tracks
These guys have a bit of a sludgey sound similar to Eyehategod, but with a little bit of similarity to Mastodon. Throw in some annoying long boring go-nowhere parts here and there a-la Neurosis. I think this might be the first metal band that I know of from Arkansas though. Big fat meaty riffs and some male-female vocal screeaaammming barely more audible than the music are other ways to describe them. You may hear this on the Mosh Pit, as it is a little bit different than what’s out there.

Therion
Gothic Kabbalah
Nuclear Blast
Disc 1: 38:26 – 8 Tracks
Disc 2: 45:10 – 7 Tracks
Well, it’s Therion through and through. Melodic gothic prog metal.  This is a good release from them and with 2 cds!  Tune into the Mosh Pit to hear it!

Trail of Tears
Existentia
Napalm Records
45:10 – 10 Tracks
I’ve been looking forward to hearing this for some time. This is one of those bands you hear a lot about, and you just don’t know until you hear them. It’s got a little bit of everything in it. It’s mostly melodic death metal for the music, but there’s some proggy keyboard stuff going on, with some strings sounds as well. The vocals are pretty brutal, but then mixed in with some female clean singing along with some. Great levels of complexity and it’s all put together just right. You’ll definitely hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Verismo
City Of Kings
Verismetal Music
43:02 – 10 Tracks
Here’s a pretty neat band. Overall, it’s probably best classified in the stoner metal vein. They also work in some more thrash metal and almost a bit of a slight jazz feel. Every song has some sort of catchy hook to it that makes you just want to hear the next song. The production is a little raw, but it may be that way on purpose as it fits the music well. I’d like to say there is a little bit of a Godsmack sound to it as well, a more raw, “stonery” Godsmack. You’ll probably hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Vixen
Live & Learn
Demolition Records
43:46 – 12 Tracks
Well, this is probably what you’d expect. Vixen doing new songs. It’s pretty much hard rock and staying true to the same old sound of the Vixen of past. I’m not sure if this will see airtime on the Mosh Pit, but then again, it’s Vixen! We’ll see, it’s pretty ordinary.

New stuff this week 1/29/07

Architect
All Is Not Lost
Blackmarket Activities
30:56 – 11 Tracks
This is just pretty straight ahead sludgey metal. It has some hardcore mixed in, but for the most part, it’s a bit like some of the louder Mastodon stuff. You may hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Edenbridge
The Grand Design
Napalm Records
This is pretty decent symphonic power metal.  But yet another one of these bands with a female singer.  I guess this must be a trend, I think there’s been a new female fronted metal band every week!   There are a lot of keyboards with some older Dream Theater type music in the background.
Freya
Lift The Curse
Victory Records
29:28 – 10 Tracks
From the ashes of Earth Crisis, one of the bands that helped start up this metalcore type genre. They have a good crisp solid sound, the mix is great, and the songs are all Freya. Pretty decent and brutal. You will hear this on the Mosh Pit.

Grave Digger
Liberty Or Death
Locomotive
56:46 – 10 Tracks
Well, yet another release from Grave Digger. This album is just like their others. Plain ol’ run of the mill power metal. They production and playing and everything is pretty solid, it just falls into the category of “another album from these guys…” You may hear it on the Mosh Pit.

Minsk
The Ritual Fires of Abandonment
Relapse Records
59:05 – 6 Tracks
The last few weeks, Relapse has had some pretty good albums. They are more or less “un-relapse” like. Typically Relapse would have bands that were kind of loud and sludgey with no real direction, kind of like Neurosis and whatever. Well, they’re back. This is a sludgy, plodding experimental “typical” Relapse band. I doubt you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit… but as always, request it, and you’ll hear it!

Mnemic
Passenger
Nuclear Blast
47:33 – 11 Tracks
Ever since first hearing Mnemic and all of the comparisons to Meshuggah and Fear Factory and others, I’ve liked them. This is their newest highly anticipated release. It’s got a good groove, the clean vox and choruses are catchy, and reminds me a little bit of the good old stuff from Mushroomhead. You will hear this on the Mosh Pit.

The Network
This is Your Pig’s Portrait
Blackmarket Activities
37:21 – 16 Tracks
This is pretty brutal and “experimental-ish” It has the random chaotic sound that yet, is focused and intense. As with any of this type of metal, it has to draw some comparisons to Meshuggah, but mixed with some metal core music… not the whiney chorus part of metalcore, but the brutal stuff. This is overall a pretty brutal CD. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Re:Ignition
Empty Heart Loaded Gun
Corporate Punishment
52:46 – 12 Tracks
Hey, this sounds like a mix between The Cult and Soundgarden. It’s good sounding hard rock stuff, but it’s not really the normal metal we like to throw at you on the Mosh Pit. If we’re in a mood, we’ll play this, but since it’s not really that heavy, we might have to pass. As always… request it and you’ll hear it!

New stuff this week 1/22/07

Beneath The Sky
What Demons Do To Saints
Victory Records
45:57 – 11 Tracks
This is a pretty good CD. They have a hardcore / metalcore base, but alternate between classic screamygrowls and cookie monster growls. A nice heavy low end with all out brutality. It sounds like someone pissed these guys off big time, but seeing as they thank “God” and “Jesus” all over the place in the liner notes, Satan must have made them mad. Good thing, because they made a pretty good metal album! You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Car Bomb
Centralia
Relapse Records
32:01 – 11 Tracks
A full on aural assault! Fast furious all over the place, it has a bit of a Meshuggah feel on its style. Mostly death/screamo for vocals with a big fat low-end and some quick drumming. It sounds very technical. I think you’ll like it, so tune in and hear it!

Fairyland
The Fall Of An Empire
Napalm Records
62:41 – 13 Tracks
Fans of Rhapsody will like this. It’s good solid power metal, but in the symphonic epic metal realm. I mean, with a name like Fairlyland, what would you expect! Vocals are good, sing-a-long choruses work well and the musicianship is solid. The last Rhapsody album was a little iffy, this is a bit more like their older stuff. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
Indorphine
Glow Sticks For Clubbing Baby Seals
Rock Ridge Music

Kittie
Funeral For Yesterday
X Of Infamy/Merovingian Music
47:38 – 14 Tracks
Kittie has been through a lot over the years… and this new album shows a bit more maturity than previous efforts. The music is pretty well put together, but of course, still suffers from the same kind of bland vocals. More clean vocals than previous albums with more screamo stuff. It’s alright, and since we still have warm fuzzies from when they were in the WORT studio a few years ago, we’ll play this on the Mosh Pit!

This Ending
Inside The Machine
Metal Blade
43:24 – 10 Tracks
This has a bit of the euro melodic death-thrash sound similar to Hypocrisy. As well they should, since they are from Sweden. So they have a lot of those bands mixed together, but with a bit of a harsher vocal sound in some spots. The music is pretty quick and the drumming is pretty quick and intense. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!Year Of Desolation
Year Of Desolation
Prosthetic Records
68:12 – 11 Tracks
Just plain brutal and aggressive. Some melodic guitar solos mixed in, but for the most part, it’s brutal vocals, brutal guitar riffs, brutal drums and all out metal. Most of the music I’d have to compare to newer Cannibal Corpse (but a bit more technical), but the vocals are more of the metalcore growl. No clean vocals. Just something you’ll have to hear to appreciate fully. Hint…. you’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit!

Various Artists
Family Values Tour 2006
Firm Music
70:55 – 16 Tracks
This covers most bands from last summer’s Family Values Tour. Since most of the bands on this tour were not to my liking, this CD already doesn’t rate up there real high. The StoneSour and Korn stuff is pretty good, the production mix sounds great for a live cd. You may hear songs from either of these bands on the Mosh Pit.

New stuff this week 1/15/06

Well, it’s officially back to the old grind again, a lot of new stuff this week, so tune into the Mosh Pit and enjoy all of this new stuff!!

Hellyeah
2-Song
Epic
7:19 – 2 Tracks
Vinnie Paul’s new project with the Mudvayne guys and some former Nothingface dudes.  It actually sounds like all of what you would think mixed together.  Vinnie is solid behind the skins, nothing too fancy going on.  It’s pretty straight-ahead new-ish metal.  It’s not too bad and because it’s Vinny, of course you’ll hear it on the Mosh Pit.

Destruction
Thrash Anthems
Candlelight Records
??:?? – ? Tracks
This is a re-recording of some of their older tracks, since I don’t have the CD yet, it’s hard to do a write up.
Elis
Griefshire
Napalm Records
52:33 – 12 Tracks
Apparently the singer, Sabine Dünser, died after recording this, but before it came out.  This release is typical in the line of female fronted metal.  An occasional speedy thrash part in the music, mostly straightforward hard/rock euro-metal.
Fear My Thoughts
Vulcanus
Century Media
57:03 – 12 Tracks
Like older Soilwork? You’ll like FMT! From Germany, they have that great melodic thrashy death sound going on. Production is crisp and the riffs are plentiful! It’s heavy, concise and I can’t say enough…. Tune into the Mosh Pit and hear them for yourself!

Firewind
Allegiance
Century Media
48:44 – 11 Tracks
A lot of buzz around this band lately because it features new guitar virtuoso Gus G.  It’s solid, fast prog-power metal.  It doesn’t even get real cheesy like a lot of bands tend to do these days.  While there is some cheese, which is inherent to this genre, it’s not laid on very thick.  The songs are well produced, have some good riffage going on, catchy choruses and licks.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
Melechesh
Emmisaries
The End Records
55:32 – 11 Tracks
Well, it’s nice to finally get some stuff from these guys. I read a lot about them, but to hear it is a different story. Some nice intense fast, yet melodic black metal. Black, thrashy and evil. Just the way this kind of metal should be. You will hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Neurosonic
Drama Queen
Bodog Music
41:02 – 11 Tracks
I’m not sure why this fits in for Metal Radio…. but it does have some vocals reminiscent of System of a Down, the music kinda stays around the “nu-metal” vein, or more just plain hard rock.

Phazm
Antebellum Death ‘n Roll
Osmose
It’s a dual-disc CD/DVD that won’t play in my computer, so I can’t tell ya what it’s like!
Since the Flood
No Compromise
Metal Blade
31:46 – 12 Tracks
It seems like Metal Blade has their answer to just about every genre of metal out there. These guys are the Hatebreed metal-hardcore band. This is their 2nd album, they are fast, heavy and it sounds good, just like it should these days! With such short songs, we should be able to squeeze some of this stuff on the air!

The End
Elementary
Relapse Records
51:08 – 10 Tracks
These guys are a bit on the Tool side of metal. It’s a pretty mainstream approach for a Relapse band. It’s a little tool-like, a bit metal, a bit metalcore, a bit experimental (Isis/Neurosis), and it seems to work all well together. If there’s time, you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit. I think it’s worth checking out.

Tristania
Illumination
SPV
14:12 – 3 Tracks
A 3-song EP sampler from the mostly female fronted Norwegians. Two of the tracks keep it pretty heavy and sound like the heavier Lacuna Coil stuff you all know. It’s pretty good, a pretty even mix of male/female vocals with an occasional death metal growl section. You may hear this on the Mosh Pit!

New stuff this week 1/8/07

Well it’s a new year and time for the first new releases for 2007!

Abigail Williams
Legend
Candlelight Records
21:05 – 5 Tracks
The bio sheet described these guys (and gal) from Phoenix as “black metalcore.” You know what, that’s a pretty good way to describe it, as they have a dark, black metal base sound, but mixing it in with what you hear from the good, heavy metalcore bands. A few different vocal styles come through, mostly it’s a screamy black metal with and almost Cradle of Filth-y style for the death growls. It’s pretty cool, and it seems as though they might be pioneers in this new sub-genre. You will hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Coldworker
The Contaminated Void
Relapse Records
39:44 – 14 Tracks
This doesn’t waste any time getting into some nice heavy, thrashy death metal. It also has a bit of a Napalm Death feel. Fans of classic death/grind metal will like this.  This band was put together by Anders Jakobson of Nasum.

County Medical Examiners
Olidous Aperettas
Relapse Records
29:54 – 8 Tracks
The bio sheet says it all… If you like older Carcass, this band is for you!  They aren’t kidding!  Gore-grind, not muddy sounding at all, good clean Carcass-like death metal!  Meat and potatoes death metal for you here!  You will hear this on the Mosh Pit!
Disciple
Scars Remain
INO Records
38:57 – 11 Tracks
Starting off, this seems to have a nu-metal vibe. With that Korn-esque bassline, then the vocals kick in, and it just kind of keeps that nu-metal vibe. This isn’t really Mosh Pit material, as I could see these guys touring with Hinder or Seether or the like.

Meliah Rage
The Deep And Dreamless Sleep
Screaming Ferret
36:00 – 8 Tracks
Their first new album in like, forever.  I can’t say I was all that familiar with their older stuff, as it was a little before my time as a metalhead.  This does have a bit of an older school sound.  It’s not too bad, nothing groundbreaking.  They will be out on tour with Metal Church this month.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

New stuff this week 11/20/06

Pretty slow week for new stuff, it will be this way until the new year, which means the Mosh Pit gets a bit more fun!

Next week, 11/27 11p-5am, the Mosh Pit will be taking over Rolling With Scissors, making for SIX HOURS of straight metal!!

Tenacious D
The Pick of Destiny
Epic
33:46 – 15 Tracks
It’s Tenacious D. The Greatest band in the world. What can you say? It’s not all that metal, but track one features Meatloaf and Ronnie James Dio himself! Jack Black makes this stuff fun, and I can’t wait to see the movie. You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Victory
Fuel To The Fire
Locomotive
47:26 – 12 Tracks
These guys have that mid-90’s hair hard rock sound. And go figure that’s where they are from! The whole screamy vocal and such. It’s pretty decent, straightforward hard rocky stuff. They re-recorded their greatest hits, and this is the result.  I’ve never really heard these guys before, but it sounds good, production is clear and since there isn’t much new stuff this week, you will hear it on the Mosh Pit.

New stuff this week 11/13/06

Frost
Out In The Cold
Screaming Ferret
46:24 – 11 Tracks
Jack Frost from Seven Witches fame has a solo CD out, this album features a bunch of different singers. Going in, you know the guitar work is going to be good and straight ahead metal. It is pretty good, a good variety of metal songs and singers here as well as some fun covers. “Sign of the Gypsy Queen,” “Cold as Ice,” and “Hold On Loosely” to name a few. It’s cool and you’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!

Born From Pain
War
Metal Blade
43:35 – 11 Tracks
This is Metal Blade’s own “Hatebreed” This stays true to good ol hardcore metal. Great riffage, brutal breakdowns. It’s pretty good, it’s a nice break from all the metalcore. You will hear this on the Mosh Pit!!

Killswitch Engage
As Daylight Dies
Roadrunner
43:39 – 11 Tracks
As I mentioned above, it was nice to have a break from all the metalcore, but in this case, it’s nice to have metalcore from one of the pioneers! This album is brutal yet cheesy melodic as only Howard Jones can do. Even though you’ll hear this a lot on other stations in town, we’ll still play it here and there…

Dissillusion
Gloria
Metal Blade
51:12 – 11 Tracks
So, I read the bio sheet that came with this CD and it said “recommended if you like Ulver, Opeth or Rammstein.”  I was thinking, what in the hell would this sound like?  Well, that recommendation was pretty right, it’s got metal heavy sound a bit like Opeth, but enough electronics and vocals to make it more like Rammstein.  Some of the songs get a little too “electronicy” for the Mosh Pit, but all in all, the heavier stuff on here makes it worthwhile.

Lyzanxia
Unsu
Listenable
49:37 – 12 Tracks
This is some darn good thrash stuff.  Lyzanxia is from France!  Technical, melodic thrash with a few different vocal styles mixed in, primarily the thrashy growl.  The vocals remind me a little bit of Meshuggah.  You’ll just have to hear it, so tune into the Mosh Pit!

Textures
Drawing Circles
Listenable
48:23 – 10 Tracks
I mentioned Meshuggah above, and these guys have just about the whole Meshuggah thing going on.  Thrashy, very technical, polyrhythmic, and straight forward.  What drew me a bit bored of Meshuggah, is they were so repetitive, fast, and all the same.  These guys aren’t trying to be as heavy and have some slower melodic “breakdowns”  To top it off, they are Dutch, you don’t see many metal bands coming from The Netherlands, so it’s a bonus.  You’ll hear this on the Mosh Pit!
